About

Tim Edwards and I are co-owners of Pelican Studio and LifeLike Productions, Inc. Tim grew up in a small town in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He has a bachelors degree in Computational Engineering and was taught photography at an early age by his father, George Edwards. I grew up in Berkeley, California and have degrees in Bio-Engineering and Visual Arts. I began taking photographs to have images to paint from and became fascinated by photography.

Pelican Studio was founded in June of 2000. Tim and I had been working hard on our photography for many years and decided to try selling our work at our hometown art fair in San Anselmo, California. We had founded our successful multi-media company, LifeLike Productions in 1992. But after years of creating media pieces for large corporations we were looking for an outlet for our own wildlife and landscape photography. When we moved our company from Sausalito to San Anselmo in 2006, we had the opportunity to open a small studio and retail shop in the front of our workspace. Pelican Studio now had a visible store front on San Anselmo Avenue in downtown San Anselmo! This spring of 2009 a beautiful gallery space became available and we moved our studio to Point Reyes Station. Now we are close to home and have extra time to devote to our art.

We photograph from our home on Inverness Ridge adjacent to the Point Reyes National Seashore in California. We love the local seashore and its inhabitants. Our mission is to continue on our creative journey and share as much of our knowledge as possible about wildlife, the outdoors, photography, technology and the media of our times. At Pelican Studio, we make fine art prints, teach classes in photography and printing, and provide consultation to professional artists and hobbyists. We continue to create web-sites as LifeLike Productions and are building fine art and corporate web-sites.

Our studio is open to the pubic where we sell our artwork and fine art made by local Marin artists. Stop by for a visit! We'd love to chat with you about nature, photography, technology and life. You may find a beautiful piece of art to purchase or maybe you will create your own beautiful work of art to take home.
